Currently, I've used a couple of VPNs (actually just two)
These two likely represent two pricing models: pay-per-data and pay-per-day (pricing based on the software I'm currently using)
Pay-per-data:
Subscription Type (Monthly) | Price | Price per GB |
50 GB | ¥20 | 0.40 yuan/GB |
150GB | 35 yuan | 0.23 yuan/GB |
300GB | 55 yuan | 0.18 yuan/GB |
500GB | 75 yuan | 0.15 yuan/GB |
Pay-as-you-go:
Duration (months) | Price ($) | Price (RMB) | Daily Price |
1 | $4 | ¥32 | ¥1.07 |
3 | $10 | ¥80 | ¥0.89 |
12 | $32 | ¥256 | ¥0.72 |
$1 = ¥8;
1 month = 30 days;
The advantage of pay-as-you-go data is faster speeds. Netflix streams smoothly with near-4K quality, and it has a Mac client (kudos).
The advantage of time-based payment is unlimited data usage—it can stay connected indefinitely. My current subscription also supports 4K video streaming. A minor drawback is the lack of a Mac client version, limiting access to web-based acceleration only. This prevents using local software for video playback.
